Nestled in the heart of the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota, Blessed Sacrament Parish is a thriving Roman Catholic community made up of over 1,600 families. Position Overview
We are seeking a Parish Business Manager to oversee the financial, and operational functions of our parish. This role is vital in ensuring the efficient management of resources, supporting the parish's mission, and fostering a welcoming environment for parishioners and staff.

Key Responsibilities
• Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, accounting, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Facilities & Operations: Manage parish properties, maintenance, and vendor contracts.
• Human Resources: Supervise staff, handle employment policies, and ensure compliance.
• Stewardship & Fundraising: Support financial stewardship efforts, oversee fundraising initiatives, and manage donor relations.
• Parish Administration: Maintain records, coordinate parish activities, and ensure adherence to diocesan policies.

Qualifications

Education & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, commensurate experience accepted.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial management, nonprofit administration, or church operations (preferred).
• Experience working in a Catholic parish or faith-based organization is a plus.

Financial & Administrative Skills
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP), budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Experience with fundraising, stewardship, and donor relations.
• Ability to manage contracts, agreements, and compliance with diocesan policies.

Leadership & Communication
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to supervise staff, volunteers, and coordinate parish activities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Technical & Operational Knowledge
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite, and church management software.
• Understanding of risk management, parish security, and facility maintenance.
• Ability to oversee technology, website updates, and social media communications.

Personal & Faith-Based Qualifications
• Practicing Catholic with a strong understanding of Church
teachings and values.
• Commitment to ethical financial stewardship and confidentiality.
• Ability to work collaboratively with pastors, parish councils, and diocesan leadership.
