As our children approach the age of reason, 7 or 8 years old, they are able to enter more fully into the mystery of our faith through First Holy Communion and Reconciliation. Reconciliation offers the forgiveness of sins and the Eucharist the opportunity to be united with Jesus.
In Year 1 students learn to communicate with the Lord through the learning of prayers. They practice alongside their parents. The first year lays the foundation for encountering the Lord and His Mercy in the Sacrament of Reconciliation and receiving His Truly Present Body and Blood in the Sacrament of the Eucharist.
Through Blessed’s rich visuals and relatable content, our Year 2 students are prepared, alongside their parents, to receive the Lord in the Sacrament of Reconciliation and Eucharist by instilling in them a life-long love for their faith. Monthly meetings for both the parents and students help facilitate this process, cultivate community for our families, and assist parents in raising their children in the Catholic Church.
We begin our journey to First Reconciliation and First Communion in Year 1. This program aims to strengthen families, teach the core prayers, and explore Bible Stories.
We complete our journey to First Reconciliation and First Communion in Year 2. We aim to help the children develop self reflection and to engage their conscience as we prepare them for First Reconciliation. Likewise, we ask them to begin paying closer attention at Mass.
