Liturgy is one of the primary ways in which we encounter God in our lives, especially in the Holy Mass. In order for us to offer beautiful and welcoming liturgies, it takes a lot of community investment and involvement. Liturgical Ministry helps us to grow and experience our faith in a much deeper way. If you have a desire to prayerfully create an environment where people arriving for Mass feel wanted and comfortable, so that God can more clearly speak to their hearts, this ministry might be a good fit for you! Their gracious manner as they distribute worship materials, attend to the special needs of parishioners, help parents with children, and assist the elderly helps set the tone which pervades the entire parish. Hospitality ministers are asked to arrive 30 minutes before Mass and are scheduled to serve about twice a month. Join the Hospitality team and better equip our parish to come together as the Body of Christ at Mass.
Altar Servers assist the priest during the Mass. We are looking for adult altar servers to assist with daily Mass, weekend Masses, & funerals. Scheduling is done based on your preference and availability. No experience necessary, we will train and assist you.
This ministry would be a good fit for anyone who has received the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation) and wants to assist the pastor in serving Blessed Sacrament parishioners within the liturgy. A monthly training is provided on the third Monday of each month, and you will have the opportunity to select a Mass time preference.
This ministry is for any confirmed and faithful Catholic who is at least 18 years of age and has a desire to prepare the Sanctuary to celebrate the Mass under the direction of Fr. Tim Hoag. Training is available for both Sunday Sacristans, who are typically assigned twice a month, and Daily Sacristans, who are scheduled more often and also altar serve the Mass for which they prepared.
If you consider yourself artistic, creative, or handy, the Art & Environment team would love to have you assist in preparing an appropriate environment for parishioners to set their hearts and minds on Heaven and celebrate the Mass. The Art & Environment team could use both men and women to plan, prepare, and reset spaces for each liturgical season.
