Chorus Angelorum

Chorus Angelorum is a faith-based choir of over 45 members who sing 4 part choral music. On November 1977, they began singing at Blessed Sacrament under the direction of Jacqueline (Jackie) Schnittgrund. She continues as their conductor assisted by her daughter, Tammy. Their long-time accompanist is Bonnie Josten along with her substitute Maureen Zimney.

The music sung by Chorus Angelorum is eclectic in nature encompassing chant, medieval motets, classical, contemporary, gospel, and praise. Frequently, other instruments are added to their sound such as strings, guitars, flutes, percussion, and piano/organ combined. On Easter and Christmas, Chorus Angelorum is privileged to sing with a 25 piece, well-trained orchestra.

Chorus Angelorum has recorded 3 CDs selling over 4000 copies locally, nationally, and internationally. The proceeds from the sale of these CDs were used to buy equipment for the church music department. Singers of varied levels of ability will find a welcome home in this choir.

We usually sing for the 530 PM Saturday Weekend Mass. We practice on Thursday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. For additional information, call Jackie at 605-390-7748 or eMail JSchnitt@rap.midco.net.
